Chance unites three lonely souls: A spiraling addict chasing the one who got away, her guilt-ridden Deaf ex on a mission to rescue her, and his new love interest, who doesn’t know their language.

Newly unemployed hair stylist Sadie is showing all the signs of an alcohol addiction — but even after a spectacular meltdown, she doesn’t see the issue. So when she runs into her Deaf ex, Luca, the love of her teenage life and former drinking buddy, she throws herself into winning him back. 

Luca is now sober. But out of guilt, and possibly nostalgia, he decides to stick around — partly to keep an eye on Sadie, mostly to get closer to Alexandra, the mysterious real estate agent trying to sell the house where Sadie is squatting.

Alexandra is charmed by Luca’s attention, but Sadie is a tinderbox, and they must keep their mutual attraction under wraps. They also need Sadie to translate — something she is all too aware of. In their awkward dance between American Sign Language and English, a long-buried secret slips out by accident, and the fallout forces all three to confront the truths they’ve been avoiding.
