Two young lovers hike up a mountain, equipped with opposing agendas: While she seeks to leave their village in pursuit of a college degree, he has prepared a proposal geared at making her stay.
Amidst their last days of high school a happy couple takes a hike up the local mountain of their alpine village for some alone time. But soon they realize that they have conflicting views on what "Heimat" means: The girl feels an urge to venture out into the world before deciding which place to call home, the boy insists that finding home means putting down roots where they grew up.
